The following article teaches you to bake cookies. You will have fun while learning to bake. Most people might think that baking is an intense task but with ‘Joy of Cooking’, it becomes very easy. The article gives you step-by-step guidance on how to bake cookies and also the variations that can be done while baking. It teaches you to make different cookies from one basic dough. So instead of just one recipe it gives you three more recipes. Working women who are short on time and beginners will benefit from these hassles free recipes.

Celebrate 75 years of joy with this new edition featuring more than 4000 recipes classic and new. Welcome to a whole new generation of joy. The holidays and cookies are inseparable. And joy of cooking is a wealth of cookie inspiration. If we could pick just one reason to love the 75th anniversary edition, it’s this cookie recipe. The most versatile around. This recipe begins with a basic dough made from butter, sugar, a dash of salt, eggs, vanilla and flour. Here we have the basic dough that we have let chill in the refrigerator. This disc is a third of the dough.

You will want to work with one disc at a time. We have the oven preheated at 350 degrees. Make sure to preheat the oven 20 minutes before baking. To shape the cookies either form the dough into 1 tablespoon balls and place on a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Then using the flour coated smooth bottom of a glass or glass bowl, flatten each ball to eighth of an inch thick. Or roll the dough to an eighth of an inch thick. Cut into shapes and arrange about an inch apart.

And now they are ready to bake. After the cookies are golden brown about 8 -10 minutes in a 350 degree oven move them to a wire rack to cool completely. After they cool either ice or leave plain. Now that we have a base possibilities abound. For marble cookies add melted chocolate to half the dough and then combine the two halves to create a marbled look. Or you can make a quick change to tangy lemon butter cookies simply by adding lemon zest along with the vanilla and from there add poppy seeds to the finished dough for lemon poppy seed cookies.

It just goes on and on and all from one basic dough. And with the ideas and recipes found here you will have all you need to start spreading some holiday cheer of your own. Here’s wishing you and yours the joy of the season and the joy of cookies. Courtesy The Joy of Cooking.

And this is in a proper sip bowl. And now I will clear away the sip course and entire setting at once to make room for the main course. At the same time I will also clear away white wine glass. I am gonna server my main course from the left.

And at this point, once I have finished my main course again I am placing silverware in the center of the plate, I am gonna remove this. At this time I am also gonna remove, the bread, salt and paper and also my red wine glass, leaving only my water goblet and my dessert service. Ok so if you have any excess, just take a nice napkin and brush it away. At this point we gonna serve a dessert, and I will bring my utensils down, and cup and saucers for coffee, right above the utensils. So just remember these rules are just guidelines.

Haft on your table and be created, and you know what your guest will love lot to it.

Knowing how to set and clear formal table is a valuable tool for holidays and other elegant occasions.

Let’s take a look to several ways. We have, forks on the left, knives and spoon on the right. One simple rule to remember, is always work from outside to inwards. And we have the salad and sits spoon and then we have our main course fork and knife blade facing inward. We have our white wine glass, red wine glass and water goblet in order that it will be served. At a formal dinner there is always a place in front of each guest for a service plate or a charger. Here we have put out all the stuff with these two. We also have our liner and salad plate.

At each table setting there should be, about 30 inches between one table setting to next table setting and a thumb width from a table edge to the plate. Here we have our butter plate with the knife that mimics our dinner knifes and that’s with the blade facing inwards. We start out formal dinner with a salad. And we done with the salad so I am gonna clear away the salad plate, utensil and a liner.
