Hi I am Katie Stiles, with ‘before and after TV’. A lot of people nowadays are eating, veggie burgers as now they have turned towards beef burgers. Even people that are meat eaters, and not choosing veggie burgers. You can buy them in a variety store, and can also order them in a restaurant. The one thing with these Star Buck Veggie burgers is that they are high in sodium, and they tend to have lot of preservatives in them. Its something that people often don’t think of to make at home. And Holly here is gonna show us, how you can make at home a very delicious, quite simple recipe of the Walnut Lentil Veggie Burger. And she is gonna show us some ingredients and to how to prepare it. So lets get started Holly. Ok.

We are starting with some lentils. Now you smash the lentils. And they are can lentils. And next we are going to add walnuts. These are pretoasted in oven, there are around a cup of walnuts. Now you mix these with the lentil, which is about four and half cup. And then I am gonna add two eggs, scramble those eggs and then add those to leftover mixture.

So lets start to prepare Tomato Bruschetta. Here is the video of the recipe.

Hello everyone, I want to show you how to make real, Italian Bruschetta. This is very simple dish, which require few ingredients, which are very easy to find. I am an Italian, so I am going to show you, which are the real ingredients to make perfect Italian Bruschetta ever. Well, lets get started with main ingredients for Bruschetta. This is a typical bread, from the province of Rome. This is a good bread, naturally baked in a wood fired ovens. This is the main ingredients and you should, better find the bread like these to get a very good bruschetta. The second ingredients we need to make bruschetta is tomato, we need one or two or more tomatoes depending on how many people are going to eat bruschetta. We need to very right tomatoes, red, like these.

Once we have cut, a slice of a bread we need to bake it or best to toast it. the bread is baked now, and what I have to do now is to gently rub the baked slice of bread with garlic. One washed tomatoes, you should chop them, and get small pieces. Once we have these tomatoes chopped, we can put it on the baked bread, something like this. Very good looking. Now we should put some olive oil, very important, extravagant olive oil. Now we can add little salt on it, and if we like it, we can put few leaves of Betel leaves.

Are you a great foodie? Or do you love cooking? Then here is some real gourmet food for you. This article shows you how to prepare seared steak. In it, are mentioned all the ingredients that you require for making this steak. The great thing about this recipe is that, it is not only tasty to eat but also easy to make. Therefore, this doesn’t mean that you have to spend hours standing in the kitchen. In addition, you don’t have to grill or bake. You simply have to fry. Now isn’t that just superb.

Hi, Welcome to whole gourmet natural cooking. I am Allison Anton. Today we are going to make seared steak with a flavorful, red wine reduction sauce. Let’s start with our steak. So I have two different kinds of steaks here. Really you can use any kind of steak you want. I have a rib steak which is gonna be a tender steak. It’s got a little bit of fat. You can see the marbling in here. We are just gonna make it a tender steak as well as that its from a part of the body that isn’t used too much. So thatis gonna be a tender muscle there. And then on the other hand I have at the back here is a skirt steak which is similar to a skirt or a flap steak which is a little bit tougher of a cut and so what I did to tenderize it is I pounded it a little bit.

But, so you can pound it, you can even marinade the tougher cuts in any kind of marinade which will help break down the tough fibers. So either one of these will work. I am going to choose the rib steak today. So now for the oil. I usually use either a really nice olive oil but I also use coconut oil a lot of the time. Coconut oil is the saturated fat but it has some great health benefits including that it has a higher smoking point than olive oil or other oils so it’s a healthier choice for you to cook with high heating.

But I am gonna use olive oil today since it is a more commonly used oil. So what I have here is a little bit of onion powder. You can also use some garlic poder if you want. This is just gonna flavor this oil a little bit and flavor the steak. And then of course we have some nice sea salt, so just a sprinkling of that may be a quarter to half a teaspoon or so. And then any kinds of herbs that you want to use. I have here herbs to –. This is a blend of lavender which goes really well with red meats even lamb and rosemary, some savory, so I don’t know a tablespoon or so of that. And a little bit of black pepper.

And we will just take a steak of our choice and just dip that into this nice and fused olive oil. Once you get all those kind of herbs and that oil onto the steak, we will take it over to the stove to cook. So what kind of pan do you want to use. I always use a nice heavy bottom pan usually three ply. You can also use a stove top grill. I use this a lot. But we are gonna make a reduction sauce so I don’t want those grills to get in the way. I am going to use just a nice flat bottom pan. If I have my pan heating here for a few minutes, I can feel that it is nice and hot so I am going to put my steak right on there. Its gonna sizzle as we put it in. It should.

And now the question is how long do you want to cook your steak for. You see I have some thicker pieces here and a little bit thin here so obviously this is gonna take a little bit longer. Now I like my steak pretty rare so that I can really take advantage of the good fats in the steak, the proteins, the vitamins, all of that stuff that can if you cook it too long, it can get damaged. So I recommend trying it out and seeing how rare you can eat it without feeling too uncomfortable about it. So for me its usually about two minutes, maybe three minutes if its real thick on each side. Okay this side has been cooking for about three minutes so I am going to flip it, its about time. You see its nice and brown on the outside and its gonna still be pretty rare on the inside.

I am only going to cook it for maybe 2 more minutes on this side. I don’t wanna go too long, since I like it pretty rare. Okay we took it off after a couple of minutes on the other side. I think it is going to be nicely done. And now I am going to just make just a really nice reduction sauce. We are gonna take advantage of all these juices in the pan. I have some shallots here maybe a quarter cup. About two shallots or so. I am just going to cook these for maybe thirty seconds, something like that. That’s just gonna add a nice flavor to our sauce and I am just kind of getting these bits off the bottom here. So after cooking these for a little bit I am going to add a red wine.

Its going to sizzle in the pan, I don’t know maybe a quarter cup, half a cup something like that. And I am going to let this reduce in the pan as I am just again scraping up these bits along the bottom of the pan. This is going to reduce, maybe a minute or two and then we will come back and then we will finish it up. Okay our wine has reduced by about a half here and I just wanna mention to if you don’t wanna use wine with cooking that’s fine, you could always use a juice to replace the wine. With steak you might wanna add apple juice or something like that.

So here I am gonna add a little bit of beef stock to this just to flavor it again and we are going to do the same thing. We are going to do the same thing. We are just going to let this now to reduce by about a third to a half. And then we will have a nice sauce to drizzle over our steak. So this has been reducing for several minutes now. Its reduced quite probably about half, at least a third. Some people even add flour or corn starch to this to thicken it up. I like to stay away from flours and starches like that. So I just let it cook a little bit longer to reduce. I added a little bit of liquid — which is a all natural sugar substitute, but you can also just add a teaspoon or so of sugar.

That just balances out the flavors of sweet and pungent from the wine. And a couple of pinches of salt, some pepper and we are ready to go drizzle this right over our meat. So now we get to take full advantage of some nice fresh olive oil, that’s raw and unheated. I am just drizzling it a little bit over our beautiful steak with its nice red wine reduction sauce. And that olive oil has some nice flavanoids and anti inflammatory properties. So we will take advantage of that. And then I also have a little bit of very nice balsamic vinegar.

I am just gonna give this a little teeny drizzle that’s just going to bring up some of these flavors in the wine and the steak making it a perfectly sumptuous dinner. Thanks for watching whole gourmet natural cooking. I am Allison Anton. You can find the recipe for seared steak on my website at wholegourmet.com.

A great article for all those diabetics out there who have to suppress their cravings for tasty food just because, it is high in carbohydrates. You don’t have to keep wondering what to eat and what not to. dLife TV provides you with a plethora of recipes so that you can enjoy tasty and interesting food that is low in carbohydrates.

Here, the chef has made a tasty turkey hamburger, which will not only satisfy your taste buds but is also healthy. A perfect recipe with precise instructions and list of ingredients to help you eat better.

Everyone loves a good hamburger. And if you have diabetes, hamburgers can be a great, easy, low carb meal solution without the bun of course. I am chef Mitchell Nischan and I am going to show you how to make your average hamburger harmless, healthy, and tasty. Now I am going to start with a turkey burger because a lot of folks love ground turkey but they often complain it’s a little bit dry.

So I am going to put a little bit of silken tofu and I have mashed it and I am mixing it in with the ground turkey. Now the theme of the day is Southwestern, so I am going to add a little bit of ground cumin and a little bit of powdered garlic and I am just going to mash it in with this turkey with the silken tofu. We also have the good old-fashioned American beef and some veggie burgers. The veggie burgers made from beans are a great source of protein just like beef and turkey. Now here I have this great turkey mix. I have got a nice pattie here. And I am going to pop it in a non stick pan over a medium fire.

I am going to cook it till its brown on one side, put it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 8-10 minutes and then we take it out and this is what it looks like when its finished. Wallah! Nice, brown, caramelized. Now remember that this is low crab so we are going without the bun. I am going to put my burger on top of that and because we are sticking with the theme of Southwest, I think a little bit of sour cream is going to be pretty tasty on there.

I got some really good quality sorbet salsa, some cilantro. Another piece of lettuce over the top and there’s a darn tasty low crab hamburger that’s gonna taste great. I hope you have enjoyed this dLife video. I am Nicole Johnson, host of dLife TV and a person with diabetes. If you have diabetes or have a loved one with diabetes, there is so much more waiting for you at dLife.com. Get inspired, informed and connected. Check it out.

Just take a piece of parchment paper cut it to the size of your cooking sheet you can line it you can bake on this you can really almost roast something because its pretty sturdy its kitchen grade stuff and when your finish just take off the dirty parchment and your pan is lot easier to clean. Another great alternative if you actually broil then is a recycling aluminum foil now this is environmentally friendly its made from recycled materials you can line your cooking sheet you can actually roast fish or broil steaks and again when your finished just remove the aluminum foil you got an easier to clean cooking sheet.

Now if you marinating things and gonna store out, it’s really difficult to find space in the fridge and also there is a lot of dishes. But if you get a really good quality freezer bag what you can do is take this plastic bags put your marinade, put your chicken in it and you can tuck into nooks and carnies on side of the refrigerator.

First pre-heat a heavy gauge pan on high.

Now, add about a two table spoons of extra virgin olive oil to my pan. Now add the steaks and low your heat to medium, after about three minutes on one side, turn the steaks. To see your edges you can set your steaks on their side, check the tenderness of the steaks after three to five minutes, remove the steaks from the pan and set aside and remember that the steaks will continue to cook for just a little bit. A term known as, carry over cookie. Now, add your diced shallots, and scrape the pond on the bottom of your pan. Now add your sauce mix, and turn the pan on to high and cook until this reduces to about half. Stir the sauce mix and the table spoon of butter this will help to thicken the sauce and give it a nice shine.

I like to serve my steak rested on a nested on a home made pone preeks and then garnish with your… this recipe is so good, when i made it for my next door neighbor he said he could have practically cut the steak with his finger. Thanks for tubing in
