“Now we’re going to add the cheese sauce - and we are going to whisk that up. There’s our cheese sauce, what do you think? Let’s add the pasta.”

“Easy, easy -so here’s the pasta - take a look at that. Again this is a whole wheat Mac & cheese that we’ve e used. If you’re kids can’t cope with this do a blind taste test. I guarantee you they will not know the difference.” Get that whisk - ooh! Here we are. Now you say we’re done.”

“Oh no no no - we’re over achievers we admit that and so what we’re going to do is take this a step further and we’re going to add some red beans, some corn and some salsa.” This just really pumps up the nutrition and makes it a complete meal. Just half a can we don’t wanna overachieve.”
“Its like a Tex Mex Mac & Cheese that we’re making as we said earlier. Just a little bit of red beans.”

“And about a cup - a cup and a half of corn.”

“Yeah a cup of corn. That’s frozen corn we thawed it out ahead of time.”

“You can use canned corn if that’s what you have in your house. That would be fine.”

“Little bit of salsa anywhere between 2 to 4 tablespoons. You can use mild, you can use hot, spicy salsa depending on what your kids like. Just doesn’t have to be plain old mac& cheese every time. Now this is really great for even packing a school lunch.”

“We’re going to put this right in the thermos and this is great especially on a cold snowy day. Pack in a lunch box with a little fruit and veggies on the side and you’ll have a lunch box make over your kids won’t even think about trading.”
