Check about the meat. While talking about the marinade, see I use these zip lock things keeps everything in, easy to mix and storing and cleaning up is very easy.
You want to cook this meat for about another 2 minutes. This dish is a nice quick easy dish. What you want to do when you come home and cook this all at one time is marinate the beef first because it has to marinate for about 15mins at least. Overnight is obviously better. The more time it marinates, the more flavor gets into the meat. Ok. This looks ready. Let’s take the meat out. Now we are going to the vegetables, pour some oil in, and we’ll take 2 peppers sliced, one onion sliced. Put that in there. Now stir it with a Chinese spatula, here. Hey I’m going to do a personal preference, get the wok at the handle and toss this around. And now all this is looking fancy, it’s a good way to toss them around for an even distribution of vegetables.
Well if you are not good at it you can use the spatula-Oops we lost one slice of pepper there, put that right back in.okay.When you stir fry, you don’t want to overcook this stuff. You just stir this for around for 2mins .Its taken up all the meat juices in the oil. And now what you want to do is make a hole in the centre here, like that and you want to pour the marinade there, and toss the meat in there and toss them all up to finish it up. This is the marinade, which we reserved from before. You just pour that right into the center. It’s got some cornstarch in there which will thicken up nice. Turn the heat up and the heat will thicken it. See its thickening already. Just keep the vegetables separate from the marinade. It’s pretty thick already and now what we are going to do is put the meat back in and mix the whole dish together.
This is Chinese pepper steak, smells delicious can’t wait to eat it, annouce the family to dinner and its ready. The rice is just about ready now. Its perfect timing, it took about 10mins for the whole meal. Well, not including the 15mins to marinade the beef, but it’s a nice quick meal for the family all ready. This would feed about 4 people; unless you are talking about people like me then you will feed2. Ok, that’s it. Iam done for now. Now you put my success rice, not traditional Chinese rice, not the regular rice which takes 20mins to cook and this takes half the time. I like to serve Chinese food on top of a bed of rice. Here you go, nice thick sauce from the cornstarch in there, nice color all green. There it is-Chinese pepper steak.
