Hi! Today we’re going to make a fruitcake. And this is not going to be the traditional 10 or 20 pound fruitcake.

And its not going to be the real rustic aa.. Brown colored variety. We’re actually going to make a pound cake that’s got the same types of fruits in it. So it’s a fruited pound cake in that sense. Aa.. We’re not going to use candy fruits either we actually are going to use some dried cherries and some dried cranberries and aa.. What we did is, we soaked those for two days in Captain Morgan spice rum because it’s kind of festive and holiday salve. And we also took some aa.. Chopped walnuts which we soaked for two days as well in the captain Morgan spice rum. So as you can see we’ve got our preliminary ingredients here to start with. And our trusty kitchen aid is ready to go. so aa.. first and foremost we’ve got a one and a quarter cup of all purpose flour. We’ve got one and a half cup of sugar. I’ve got a full cups worth of butter here and this is been softened actually. I’ve got a 8oz package of cream cheese which is also been softened.
