Then while I’m doing that, you need a plastic bag for the hamburger, just so the, you know, the juices don’t get everywhere. rather messy.
Okay, so it’s nicely filled. So the hamburger, just stick it into the bag. This is just to keep the hamburger itself dry, and stop the juices going everywhere, and stick a knot in it, and just put that into the bowl of water. Very complicated, I know. This may not seem like much, but this will actually defrost within a couple of hours, and if you can come back to that in about an hour and change the water, the water will get very cold because obviously it’s got something frozen in it. If you can change the water again for room temperature water, it’ll defrost that much faster. And so, you do exactly the same thing with your Ziploc box or whatever you freeze things in. Just stick that in the water in the bowl, and that will defrost really quickly as well. So there you go. That’s a really good tip for defrosting something really quickly when you’re in a pinch.
