So, not only do you get the flavour, but you get a great look.
Absolutely.
Okay. Now you top that with the labour free punch.
Labour free punch, I use pineapple vodka, a little bit of uh… uh… fruit punch, a little bit of ginger ale and a little bit orange sherbet.
Okay, easy enough. So there, that takes care of the beverage side of it all. Now you’ve got the food side and we start with the bruchetta.
Vodka and tomato bruchetta. And it is diced tomatoes and garlic and basil and a little bit of vodka with a little bit of olive oil, put that on top of some toasted baguette and a little cheese.
That takes care of our appetizer. Now we move to our salad.
Yeah, well I have a wonderful ambrosia that’s soaked in coconut vodka.
Okay, so great fruit ambrosia with coconut vodka, very good. Green leafy salad as well.
Green leafy salad, no, and I have a vodka tomato salad dressing, which is delicious.
I mean, that’s just simple the 80 proof vodka.
Yeah. Ad…yeah. The original vodka and some tomatoes and some uh… grape seed oil, a bit of olive oil and just um… red wine vinegar.
Very simple to do then, very easy.
Yeah. Took me five minutes.
Okay, very good. Now we move on to the main course, or several main courses.
They’re all main courses.
We start with the penne pasta with the pineapple vodka.
Pineapple vodka, yes. It’s got onions and garlic and ham and uh… pineapple vodka and parmesan cheese and pasta… it’s delicious. Okay, and we use ham in this, but you can also use chicken or any other…. right. Perfect, okay. Now we come to the seafood aspect of it all.
This is a lot of fun. I had a great time with this. First of all, I marinated the shrimp kebabs in pineapple vodka, a little couple of seasonings here and there. I marinated that for about an hour. Put them on kebabs with some vegetables and grilled it. And then I also did salmon, but I marinated in coconut and pineapple vodka, first, for about an hour and then I grilled that with a coconut marinated pineapple slices on top.
So kind of a salmon pina colada martini…
Exactly, yeah
Okay, alright, great. The…th…th…the flavour vodkas do work great for a marinate. I’ve done this myself and it’s light, it’s easy and it just adds a nice flavour to it. Okay, we’ve done the main course, we’ve done our salads, our appetizers, now it’s the best part, it’s the desert. Okay. So we start with the cheesecake which has uh…
Acai Blueberry compote on top. I just uh… you know, put a little sugar, some blueberries, a little bit of butter in a pan, melted it down, put a little acai blueberry on top of it, you know, just created that, chilled it for a little while and poured it on top of my cheesecake.
