We’re gonna go ahead and put in a little bit of minced garlic.”
“Right”
“Fresh garlic that goes in too. Now we’ve got a – of course- everybody’s favorite”
“Jalapeno”
“The jalapeño pepper I’ve got it chopped up already.”
“I could take these for you.”
“Thanks put it right in. And your green pepper, the beauty of color, the beauty of food, the yellow pepper, right, a red pepper. Green, yellow, red isn’t that going to be wonderful. A beach state tomato chop that up. You gotta have tomato in your chilli don’t you?”
“You bet”
‘And a regular onion, we have the red onion and we’ve got the regular onion in there also. And some tomato paste, you can use an 8oz. can this is about 10ozs. You could use more or less. This is going to be your thickener. Right we’re just gonna let this whole thing cooked up. We’re gonna let it cook down. We’re gonna put a little water in, with some spices.”
“Okay, great”
“Okay we’re gonna take a – what I do is cook fresh corn and I cut down and I sautéed the corn. Try to make my own whole golden corn. And we’re just gonna take that and sprinkle that and now we’ve got some pureed fresh carrot and we’re just gonna get crazy with it. Have fun with your food.”
“Let’s call it yahoo chilli”
“We were never allowed to have fun with our food when we were young.”
“You’ve been to college”
“You know well, Cordon Bleu but. And I’ve got some tomato puree here. You can have a little party with that also. That’s festive. Right.”
“It doesn’t look like chilli. Nobody ever will know.”
“Just do a little bit of design and this is all low fat, no meat whatsoever. Great.”
“Good job Marti, thank you.”
