Make sure it is nice and mixed up and then you can take two scoops. Okay, then pull it right out of the glass and now you’re gonna twist the top all the way down until you’ve forced all the icing to the tip.
And then you want to do a couple of practice runs on the board to make sure you’ve gotten all the air out of the bag. Okay now I’m going to show you piping. And there are a couple of things you need to remember while you’re piping. You want to make sure that you hold the tip stable and then you always continue to put pressure on the back of the bags so that all of your icing flows to the tip.
So now I’m gonna finish decorating this ginger bread cookie. So another fun thing we’re gonna do is decorate a sugar cookie with icing and one tool that I really love to use is the off set spatula because the blade is off set from the handle and makes it really easy for spreading. So I’m gonna take my icing a really pretty little orange color, I’m gonna spread it just a thin layer. Make sure you get it all around the edges. And then I’m gonna sprinkle a fun yellow color and a fun red color.
Um don’t these look yummy, happy holidays.
In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is.
