Hello. I am Manjula. Welcome to Manjula’s kitchen. Today we are going to show you how to make gulab jamun. It is a very very popular dessert in India and eaten on all different occasions. It’s a very easy recipe with very few ingredients. Aaa, we need…the basic is milk powder, milk, butter and sugar and all purpose flour. So this recipe is going to make about ten gulab jamuns. It depends again on the size you decide. So this is one cup of milk powder. We have one-forth cup of all-purpose flour, three spoons of butter, unsalted butter at room temperature, one-forth cup of milk again at room temperature, pinch of baking soda. Now here we it to make syrup. One and quarter cup of sugar, one cup of water, four cardamom seeds, and pinch of saffron, which is really an optional.
Now first we’re going to start making syrup. On dry heat let’s put the water and sugar. Then at the same time we are going to put the cardamom seeds. And just let’s mix it. While we are…our gulab jamuns are ready, this syrup will be ready.
