Hi, I’m Janice. I’m Liz. We’re dieticians, and the meal makeover moms, and today we’re making sweet and hearty beef stew in the slow cooker.
You know, we created this recipe couple of years ago for baby talk magazine. They wanted five minute meals for busy, new moms. So ,this is about as quick as it gets.
And five minute meals mean five minute prep, and this is a very simple recipe, because we use a lot of convenience ingredients. We buy stew meat, already sliced up and cut up for us, pre sliced mushrooms, we use a uh… 8 ounce container, and then a bag of baby carrots. We’re also using frozen peas, which we’re using at the end, we sort those out. And then a few other ingredients to kind of add to the fun flavour.
So what do you say? Let’s do it.

Okay, nothing easier than that. Get that last one in there.
See, you didn’t even have to slice those. Now we have some meat. We’re just going to put that right in there. Two pounds okay?
