And now for the dessert of every decent breakfast – French toast. French toast is easy, all it is, is toast covered in egg. So you just whip some egg up and make it nice and bubbly, then put some bread in it, put the bread in some eggs like this, then you take the bread and throw it in the pan, there, one and two, bam. And you just cook it, the toast, until it looks like toast and the egg gets brown and it’s done, and you have to flip it just once usually. It’s really quick, so you’ve got to watch it. Alright, and there’s French toast and now we’ll show you have to plate this southern breakfast.
Here you have the traditional southern breakfast. It’s very good, I’m going to enjoy eating this. This one right here has got omelet under there, with grits piled on top, with ham, and sausage and bacon, and you mix it together and you eat it all, that’s going to be delicious. This right here is for those of you who don’t like grits, that don’t enjoy them as much as I do. So you would have the potatoes. These are the home fries, and the sweetest has simmered them and cooked them and they are really good and on the side, you have bacon and omelet. This will be great. And of course, you have the French toast. The home fries, you just you know, have some onions and garlic, and we simmered the onions, garlic and the two potatoes right on top, with the bacon grease and everything, and you just let it simmer together for a while, and so the potatoes are soft, and this is going to be great. Then we have the bacon, and the sausage, and the omelet. And over here, you have the best plate of the day with omelet. And on top of the omelet you have the grits, and on top of the grits you some ham, some bacon, and some sausage, and you stir it all together and you get this thing, so I’m just going to stir some to show you how beautiful this is. And now, every single bite is going to have a piece of bacon, or a piece of ham, or a piece of sausage, or this omelet. This is the best omelet in the world. This is good. This is what you want to eat for breakfast.
Here you have the traditional southern breakfast. Thank you for watching cooking with Dave, and hopefully Dave will be better next week for you guys to enjoy his wonderful cooking. Thank you. Have a great day!
